Did you know that there are actually three different ways to pronounce S at the ends of words?! If you say the words "birds", "sharks", and "foxes", each of the final S sounds has a different pronunciation!


In today’s English lesson you will learn the grammar rules for four reasons why we add S to ends of words and the three pronunciations of S at the end of a word. You will learn the differences between the pronunciations, /z/, /s/, and /əz/ for the letter S at the ends of words. To help you understand the different pronunciations of S, you will also learn the differences between voiced sounds, unvoiced sounds, and sibilant sounds.
