At just 22 months, Sam Berns was diagnosed with Progeria, a rare genetic condition of accelerated aging in children. Throughout his life, Sam continued to thrive as an intelligent and enthusiastic teenager with big dreams for his future, despite his rare condition. On January 10th, 2014, Sam Berns died.
