Recording RED: Part 10
BIG DAY: We now have the FINAL mixes... Feels crazy to be able to say that!
This means that all of the recording for the RED album is DONE. In the last sessions we added some finishing touches (an extra bassline, some extra claps and backing vocals etc) and made sure all of the instrument levels, effects and EQ were all spot on. So, onwards to mastering!
Mastering is the final stage - it's the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device. Essentially, it makes the mix sound louder and fatter!
