Re-imaging Wealth In Global Media:Tara Wilkinson-McClean at TEDxBridgetown

Tara Wilkinson-McClean is a Feminist Media Scholar with a passion for the use of creativity and art as research tools. She is currently conducting her PhD research on the relationship between gender and the media. To date, She has presented her research in Barbados, California, Montreal, Rhode Island, Argentina and Arizona. Inspired by her research, Tara launched the kids media project 'Media Playhouse, which is a not for profit initiative focusing on media and technology as an avenue for children's creative expression. Tara is also the Creative Director & PR Genie at 'Tara Wilkinson Communications' (TWC)
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
