This is the gooberment site with the original 1995 Organic Food Act - however, I believe the Organic guidelines were updated in 2006 under the USDA
National Organic Program Final Ruling.

This is LAW and the structure of law is to have loop holes... So I am confident they are pushing more toxic stuff in the organic stuff then they are saying, but I think it makes sense to eat the best stuff you can find.
PLUS if you look at the nasty stuff youre not SUPPOSE to do in Organic, oh man unbelivable they do that with non-organic food.
