The European Commission will be attending the One Planet Summit to be held on September 26, 2018 in NYC. The international meeting will review the commitments made at the first Summit on December 12, 2017, including by the Europeans, and will call to further accelerate the implementation of the Paris Agreement by putting finance in service of climate action.

The European Union is firmly in the lead in fighting climate change. The European Commission has proposed a series of initiatives for a modern and clean economy. The One Planet Summit contributes to strengthening multilateral collaboration, building trust between public and private actors, to ensure a collective response to the climate change.
