We are calling these ribs OMG Pork Ribs as they are really truly delicious. Char siu in style as we will boil with that Char Siu red colour and some super spices, then we stove top cook them with a fantastic sweet sticky brush. You will love these for sure. The method of Char Siu is fairly complicated and needs several ingredients and spices that are pretty hard to find for most of us. This recipes does not claim to be this method but is an alternative to making some amazing pork ribs. Char siu literally means "fork roasted" (siu being burn/roast and cha being fork, both noun and verb).
1.5kg pork ribs
1 tsp red food colour
3 tsp 5 spice powder
3 cloves garlic
1 cm ginger
Dried chilli to taste
1 tsp salt
For the Brush
All = parts - 2 tbsp each
Soy sauce
Sesame oil
Ketchup
Honey
Oyster sauce
