NEW RUBIK'S CUBE RUNS OFF IPHONE - real or fake?

In this video we're taking a look at a Rubik's Cube that you operate from your Iphone or Ipad! You can really impress your friends when you make it roll around on the floor or table with your Iphone! And what's great is it can solve itself and make you look like a genius! But is it real? Or some kind of huge fake pushed on us by Russian hackers? Watch it twice!

Hey guys, Bill here…you know, the Rubik’s cube is one of the world’s most popular and difficult puzzles to solve.
Mats Valk of the Netherlands holds the current world record time of 4.74 seconds… but a robot in Germany solved it in an amazing 0.637 seconds. But how about this video sent in by StopMo Zach. It claims to show a self solving Rubiks cube that you can run from your computer or your phone.
Pretty cool, but is this video for real? Or are we looking at just another big fat fake. Why don’t we take a little look and see what we can find out.
Taking a closer look at the video, we see it was posted by Christoffer Lindvall in 2014. It starts out with a hand that taps an Ipad App and then this happens…
There are no cuts or edits in the video… It ends at 22 seconds with the puzzle solved.
Now I know there are a lot of stop motion “self-solving rubik’s cube videos out there that are obviously fake, but this one is different. It knocks over vases and does all this weird stuff that would be very hard to do with trick photography.
So, I think it’s time to check in with our resident special effect expert Peter Butler at Bubblegum Masters channel right here on Youtube…
