Daniel Goodwin
Daniel Goodwin joined the Simons Foundation in 2014 to work on computational neuroscience initiatives at the Simons Center for Data Analysis. Prior to coming to the foundation, Goodwin was active in Silicon Valley as an engineer, designer and founder. Most recently, he was chief technology officer and cofounder of Mobile Data Labs, a company focused on building world-class products in the nascent ambient data sector. Before he started Mobile Data Labs, Goodwin worked at IDEO, a leading global design firm, as an entrepreneur in residence. He also served as an entrepreneur in residence at StartX, the Stanford University student startup accelerator, helping other startup companies succeed. Goodwin holds a B.S. in engineering with a focus in economics from Harvey Mudd College, where he was a De Pietro research fellow, and an M.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
