Hello my favorite group of sweaty movie talking nerds! I have a question about run-time affecting box office. I work at a theater in Texas, and here we gave an equal amount of theaters to Big Hero 6 and Interstellar. Both films were selling out however, Interstellar only had 3-4 showings a day per theater because of how long the film was. Theoretically speaking, if Interstellar was shorter and could fit in more showings, would it had made more money or was it bound to make what it did regardless of it's length? Is there a correlation between run-time and box office?
