The Mitsubishi XR-PHEV was unveiled at the LA Auto Show recently. This concept car shows us a couple of things: a new styling direction for Mitsubishi and a new plug-in hybrid electric powerplant. The powerplant consists of a turbocharged 1.1 liter 3-cylinder engine that makes 134 horsepower that is combined with an electric motor. Range is said to be 53 miles on battery power alone.
