As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the MX-5 Miata, it’s important to realize the impact on grassroots motorsports this car has had. To see all the generations of the MX-5 over time, from the 1st generation to this new 4th generation that was recently launched at Laguna Seca Raceway.

Part of the Mazda Racing Development is that when you bring a production road car to the raceway or a racing environment, you learn things about the car and its limitations. But you also learn on how to improve the next generation.

For nearly 3 decades, Mazda has had the MAZDASPEED development program gives races the opportunity to compete around the country. Parts and Technical support comes from Mazda to both GrassRoots racers and organized Racing Series.
