Long-billed hermit hummingbird males in Costa Rica sing the same song over, and over, and over again, hoping to entice a female to mate. Biologist and National Geographic grantee Timothy Wright describes how the male appears suspended in midair while they mate, and how the songs are learned, something previously unknown to researchers.
