LONDON HAS FALLEN Release Pushed Back To 2016 - AMC Movie News

LONDON HAS FALLEN, the sequel to 2013’s OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN, was originally scheduled to hit AMC Theatres on October 2nd this year… however the plan has changed. With the recent announcement that Ridley Scott’s THE MARTIAN was moved to October 2nd, Focus Features has decided to move the film to January 22nd 2016. LONDON HAS FALLEN will once again star Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman and begins after the British Prime Minister passes away, his funeral then becomes a target of a terrorist organization to destroy some of the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The only hope of stopping it rests on the shoulders of the President of the United States (Eckhart) and his formidable Secret Service head (Butler).
