After refusing to shake House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's hand, US President Donald Trump hailed what he called "the great American comeback" in his 2020 State of the Union address to Congress. In a speech covering a wide range of his policies he celebrated America's booming economy, which is his main platform in this election year. Trump also touted his moves on a range of signature foreign policy issues, including Iran sanctions, trade deals with Mexico and China, and pressuring NATO allies to increase military spending. The speech comes against the backdrop of his impeachment trial in the Senate.
