Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has landed their female lead. Inherent Vice’s Katherine Waterston is set to join Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne in the Harry Potter spinoff. The movie is set 70 years before the start of the Harry Potter series and follows Newt Scamander played by Eddie Redmayne on his journey to find and document magical creatures. Waterson will play Porpetina, a witch that meets Newt during his travels. David Yates who directed the last 4 Harry Potter is set to return to the franchise and direct the spinoff. Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them opens in AMC Theatres on November 18, 2016.
