So there you have it, some basic but brilliant travel tips that might save your bacon when you next travel.

Some other little things I like to do when travelling are -

- Always make sure you have a pen, some wet wipes and hair bobbles with you. You think you won't need them, then kablammy! you do.

- Unless you're one of those people who loves ALL food, if you're going on a long haul flight, take some snacks. I never like all the food on planes (although those tiny crackers and slices of cheese, yes, oh yes) and being hungry on a plane? No way hose. Pass me the pringles please.

- Flight tip again- take socks. Your totsies will thank you.

- Taking a train somewhere? Did you know that at the end of every carriage there is a plug socket? I know most trains have them everywhere but the ones I get (London Midland) don't and way too many times I've sat in silence with a dead phone. Knowing there is somewhere to charge it has revolutionised my life. No jokes.

- Baggage- Suitcases with 4 wheels will be your friend. Those bad boys just gliiiiiiideee like Elsa on Ice. If you can, invest.
