Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is set to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the Munich Security Conference. It's Hasina's first foreign trip since being elected to her fourth term last December. Bangladesh faced broad international criticism during that election, as Hasina was accused of jailing thousands of opponents and imposing draconian press restrictions to silence her critics. Ahead of her trip, DW's Editor-in-Chief Ines Pohl sat down with Sheikh Hasina for a comprehensive interview. She started off by asking Hasina about her controversial run for office and her vision for the country.
