Is This the Best Pie in New York?

The week of Thanksgiving, this small store is making a colossal 15,000 pies - that’s almost 90 pies an hour! The master baker behind this serious operation is Petra Paredez, and it’s safe to say, pie runs through her veins.

Growing up in her parents’ bakery in Virginia, Petra spent more time elbow deep in flour and butter than on the playground, soaking in the secrets of the pie game. After moving to New York, Petra met her husband on a first date and they immediately started planning a pie bakery together. Today, Petee’s Pie Company is a New York favorite, so there’s no surprise she’s earned herself the title ‘Absolute Best Pie in NYC’.
