Kyle Kizu writes: Hey everyone. I was wondering. Does making an all time great film make the director of that film an all time great? Frankly, I'm not really sure how to approach this question. Frank Darabont made what many consider a top 10 or maybe even top 5 film of all time in Shawshank Redemption, but he's never ever mentioned among the great directors of all time. Are people writing these happenings off as a lucky hit? If they are, I don't really agree because creating a masterpiece like Shawshank is not by luck. BUT, I can't really disagree with him not being mentioned among the greats because other than Shawshank and Green Mile, he doesn't really have much else that's highly notable on his resume. How would you approach this question? Thanks!
