For years, North Korea's embassy in Berlin has stood accused of violating international sanctions by renting out one of its properties to a company that operates a youth hostel inside the building. A UN resolution bans member states from allowing North Korea to use such properties for anything other than diplomatic activities. Despite efforts by German officials to intervene, the City Hostel Berlin is still open for business - and is rumored to still be paying its rent to North Korea's embassy.
