India's capital Delhi has a poor reputation when it comes to the safety of women. Sexual assault and harassment on women happen on a regular basis, especially on public transport. Delhi's modern metro offers a safe alternative, but for most women it is prohibitively expensive. Now the city's government wants to offer women free travel on buses and the metro to try to improve the situation. DW correspondent Sonia Phalnikar filed this report.
