Now with English Subtitles! Sara Hagras's talk from here:

Sayeda ElSherbeeny is the chairperson of El-safaa school for special needs children, a nonprofit organization in Suez. She is a genetic engineer graduated from the faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University. She had been an ordinary housewife until she was gifted a special needs child; that's when her story with the community service started. She had a dream about launching a specialized place serving all the special needs children in Suez as well as the surrounding governorates. Ms. Sayda launched El-safaa school in 2002 and through years her dream became true and the school has become a high standard professional place contributing in developing and enhancing special needs children in all aspects.

In this inspiring talk, Ms. Sayeda alters the audience perspective towards the special needs children from being disabled and retarded to children with special abilities who can benefit the society just like any normal child.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
