Raub, The Town Of Musang King, Has A New White Gold". Called "Tau Foo"
Manaweblife exposed another side of Raub, the town in Pahang that is always associated with musang king durians ! This laid-back town has a small village called Bukit Koman just a few kilometres from the centre of town. This village was once the most prosperous gold mining centre in Malaysia in the 40s, 50s and even 90s… Indeed, folks of this village have lived through generations of gold mining companies that come and go as the price of gold in the world market fluctuates.
Now there is a different type of glittering produce from this village and this video explores one of them. Ever wondered how the Malaysian favourite food ingredient called tau foo, or bean curd, is made?
Watch how tau foo is made in this 4th generation factory that has been handled over from grandfather, to father and now to Mr Chai and his children. The wonderful produce is distributed and only sold in the town community besides catering to streams of tourists and visitors especially during holidays season and weekends. Indeed, the raw material for this product is just soya beans and they are 100% organic and not genetically modified beans imported from Canada. The bean curd can last a week in the fridge with daily change of water. This makes the tau foo unique and a preferred choice amongst the health conscious. You can say, this is the new white 'gold' from the Bukit Koman.Like, share and continue to watch and enjoy interesting lifestyle discovery videos on this channel by being a subscriber and get all the latest uploads right away.
