Donald Trump's Secretary of Homeland Security has resigned. Kirstjen Nielsen was the chief enforcer of the US president's controversial border policies, including the wall extension on the Mexico border and the separation of migrant parents from their children. But she was also reported to be a frequent target of the President's anger. In her letter of resignation she didn't mention her reasons for leaving, but observers see it as a sign of conflict in the White House, as the president's rhetoric on immigration becomes increasingly strident.
