Situated on a bend in the Mara river this hippo pool is a perfect place to have a coffee break during safari whilst still enjoying watching the natural behaviour of the local wildlife.
The Mara ecosystem is home to a large number of hippopotamus and they can be seen in practically any body of water deep enough to submerge in. Here the hippo are looking to war up in the sun before returning to the deeper water for the hottest part of the day.
