Great white shark vs sea lion. Sharks are super-sensitive to smells, especially scents produced by potential predators, prey or a mate. Some sharks can detect the blood of prey from afar. Sharks also use electroreceptors, tubes that open on the surface of sharks' skin, to capture prey, by the detection of electrical fields generated by the prey.
