Materials:
1/3 cup of Alum
-1/2 cup boiling water
-food coloring of choice
-egg
-mason jar
-scissors
-glue
-brush
Steps:
1. Take your egg and gently make a small crack. Place the tip of the
scissors inside and cut in half. Clean the egg shells and let it dry.
2. Take the dry eggs shells and apply a dollop of glue inside, making sure to cover the everything as well as the sides.
3. Sprinkles some alum cover the entire area with glue. Let it dry over night.
4. Place the boiling water in the mason jar and pour the 1/3 cup of alum. Stir until completely dissolved and saturated.
5. Add your food coloring, about 15-20 drops. Let the mixture cool for 30 minutes.
6. Place the egg shell on top of the mixture and carefully push downwards and let it submerge completely.
7. Cover and leave for about 12-15 hours undisturbed.
8. Leave it longer for bigger crystals.
