The dead bug is a (mostly) core exercise that can help with pelvic stability, activating deep abdominal muscles, and create a great foundational base for compound movements like squats. Be careful not to make some of these common mistakes, and use a Pilates ball — or weighted med ball as you get stronger — to really help engage all the right muscles and get the most out of this move.
