Amanda Palmer is not your typical rocker, embracing both social media and the post-CD philosophy that artists should stop making fans pay for music, and start letting them pay for music. At TEDxSomerville, just down the road from her hometown and a few blocks from her old Somerville apartment, Palmer answers questions from the audience, and then plays an original song on her "party instrument" - the ukelele.
