Since 2008 Georgian folk music is inscribed by UNESCO as an "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity". Passed down between generations by word-of-mouth, the tradition of polyphonic singing in Georgia dates back to pre-Christian times. The Swedish choir Ensemble Doluri has made several trips to Georgia and has appeared on Georgian national TV and radio. Fully dedicated to this music they move from ancient hymns and powerful work songs to modern "city songs".

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
