Philip Farese discusses multiple methods for decision making by highlighting a tool recently developed to inform Department of Energy decision making. This tool revealed that a 30% energy savings reduction goal is both realistic and adds economic value to the country. Additionally it surfaced the true potential of engineering and development to reduce national energy use by as much as 80%.
