Emotional dumping is the act of verbally expressing negative emotions onto other people without regard for their feelings or wellbeing. It's when you dump your emotional baggage on them without thinking about how it might affect them or even if it's appropriate for you to do so. It’s a form of emotional narcissism.

Emotional dumping can occur in many different ways, such as verbalizing your feelings of anger, resentment or frustration onto someone else when they are not ready to hear it or don't want to hear it at all. It is a toxic behavior that can be really destructive, not just for the person being dumped on, but also for the relationship itself.
