We all got super emo ???????? as we started walking up to our MOANA 2 world premiere, our aiga Tiana Nonosina and her group were playing one of my mom’s favorite Samoan songs, and like any proud Samoan, she immediately started dancing. She gestures with her hand for me to come and join her. I kiss my babies and I do.

This moment for ALL of us is so incredibly significant because it’s our Polynesian culture and our Polynesian people represented on the big screen for the world to enjoy in MOANA 2.

And especially for our elders and ancestors who have paved the way.

Grateful and humble.
