Ellen took a look back at the time she gave a commencement speech to the Class of 2009 at Tulane University in New Orleans. The seniors were known as “The Katrina Class,” because they were freshmen when the hurricane devastated Ellen’s hometown. Since many graduations have been cancelled this year due to the pandemic, Ellen thought that watching her speech again might help inspire this year’s graduates.
