September 5th 2014 was the intended release date for director Eli Roth’s horror film THE GREEN INFERNO. However, problems with financing of the production company halted Open Road Films from releasing the movie. However, in a video on his Facebook page, Roth has just announced that Blumhouse Productions will now release the film on September 25th, over a year after its original release date. The film follows a group of student activists who travel from New York City tothe Amazon to savethe rainforest. However, once they arrive in this vast green landscape, they soon discover that they are not alone and that no good deed goes unpunished.
