Three cases of Ebola have been confirmed in Uganda. The country is confident it can contain the virus using an Ebola vaccine, but experts fear that there could be more undetected cases.
A leading biomedical research organization is callign the current outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo "truly frightening". The UK-based Wellcome Trust says the epidemic is the worst since 2016 and shows no signs of stopping. The World Health Organization is considering whether to declare the outbreak a global emergency. After the disease has spread to Uganda, two people hav died, including a five year old boy.
