Ingredients
Makes about 10 waffles
Chocolate Waffles
1 3/4 cup (220g) all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup (70g) brown sugar
2 tsp (8g) baking powder
1/2 tsp (3g) baking soda
1/2 tsp (3g) salt
1/2 tsp (1g) cinnamon
2 large eggs, separated, at room temperature
2 tbsp (30g) sugar
2 cups (480g) buttermilk, room temperature
1/3 cup (70g) oil (I used canola oil)
1 tsp (5g) vanilla extract
2/3 cup (120g) bittersweet chocolate chips
Chocolate Sauce
1/2 cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup (70g) sugar
1/4 tsp (1g) salt
1/2 cup (120ml) water
1 tsp (5g) vanilla extract
