Happy 41st Anniversary to one of Diana Ross' most iconic album of her career! "The Boss" It was released on May 23, 1979.
Diana Ross always had dance hits but this was truely an album directed for the dance floors and the public loved it! The album tracks all went to #1 on Billboard's dance charts and the single of the title track has proven to be one of her most enduring songs of her career. It's always featured prominently in all of her concerts.
This video is a mix of two performances. The first is by her amazing band that opens her shows with this instrumental. I edited it a little bit to feature some of the band members (which was taken on a different night, from a different position) and mixed it with her performance of "The Boss" that I recorded the same evening. I had these two performances in my computer and never posted them but since we're in quarantine AND it's the anniversary, I thought, why not share them? I hope you enjoy this video mix!
