For months now, swarms of desert locusts have been ravaging the horn of Africa. Kenya has been especially hard hit. And while governments have begun aerial spraying to prevent a new generation of breeding, the UN is warning of a looming food crisis. It says the region needs 76 million US Dollars to fight the plague, but at the moment they barely have a third of that. DW visited some Kenyan farmers to find out how they had been affected by the infestation.
