Dance In Place 2018 @ Rimbun Dahan - Courtly Behaviour

Manaweblife  went outdoors in the afternoon at Rimbun Dahan for a dance performance unlike any other. Ten dances were staged amidst the greenery in this resort enclave and performed by MyDance Alliance. The dancers took advantage of this natural stage to move freely all over the landscape like butterflies floating freely. Their costumes too were a sight to behold. Each dance captured the attention of a small group of audience that moved freely with them too. Amongst rustling leaves, the drizzle, wet floors and a chill in the air Dance In Place 2018  will be remembered as a great start to performing arts in this new year.

Fadilla Oziana (Indonesia) graduated from Indonesian Art Institute of Padangpanjang and uses pencak silat for her choreography inspired by women, rituals and traditional ceremonies of the Minangkabau.
Sonoko Prow (Thailand) also has Japanese and Chinese heritage. A director, actor, dancer and self-transformation workshop instructor, she has studied butoh, Zen, and psychodrama and therapy.
Citra Pratiwi (Indonesia) trained in traditional and contemporary dance, physical theatre and White Crane silat. She directs Migrating Troop Performing Art Network in Yogyakarta.
