As water levels fluctuate with the rain, the riverbanks become littered with all sorts of debris, including carrion. Domestic livestock can end up here, as well as wild animals, like this large feral pig. And whoever gets to the carcass first will consider it theirs. When there’s a ready food source like this, crocs don’t hold back. Salties don’t mind whether  food is fresh or rotting. The carcass quickly attracts other crocodiles. Soon several crocs are fighting it out for the free meal.
