This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Todays connected learners need connected school and system leaders. Mark Carbone & Donna Fry discuss the work that is/needs to be done in the area of personally owned, self directed learning opportunities for school/school board leaders to build awareness and capacity in this area.
Mark Carbone is an educator with 32 years experience. He is currently the Chief Information Officer for the Waterloo Region District School Board. He also serves as the Ministry OSAPAC co-chair, OSSEMOOC project co-lead and is president of ECOO.
Mark is active in the K-12 ed-tech space through social media and blogging. He has presented at a variety of conferences across North America.
