One of the most sought-after Malaysian street food is undoubtedly the "goreng pisang" or fried banana. Manaweblife takes a closer view at this delicacy at a local stall operated by a Chinese in the interesting town of Jenjarom.. Interestingly, take a look at the classic looking special knife that this banana chef uses. It's special because it has been handed down through two generations  and surely it's ideal  for this  purpose. Just like a Ninja he slices the banana into perfect slices without mistakes. Noticed the thickness is maintained throughout. Then the slices are dipped into the batter, with a formula or mix that he inherited from his mother, before being put into the boiling pot of oil. What results is a crispy and golden fried banana shaped like a Samurai sword. Inside the crust is a rich golden slice of banana ready for you to savour. Besides this street favourite the stall also serves the Chinese "kuih bakul” , or "lien  kou" , all hand-made right here with their special batter mix. This was once a Chinese New Year season offering but  is now an all-season favourite. There's also the crispy cake " look tau" or green bean cake, another old favourite.
