We've known for some time that THE OFFICE star B.J. Novak would be appearing in the upcoming THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, but we haven't known who he'd be playing until now. According to a tweet by director Marc Webb, Novak will be playing Alistair Smythe, son of Spencer Smythe who created the Spider Slayers and eventually goes on in the comics to become a major Spider-Man villain himself.
