#SNAKES
It’s no secret that we get lots of questions from you guys about creatures with two heads. Now most of these pictures are really fake like the six headed snake from #india. Someone with some pretty good photoshop skills added 6 heads to a real “one headed snake” and lots of people believed it. There is also a three headed snake version of the same snake.
But what about this two headed snake which is ouor big story of the week. It was first sent in by Lily Hicks and claims to show a living snake that is has two heads. But as Lilly asks, is this real or are we looking at a big fat slithering fake. Why don’t we crawl around a little and see what we can find out.
On Facebook Eric Hernandez said it was an out and out fake. But Michael Surya said it was “so real it’s funny”….. Luke Silica said it was Photoshop, Aengel Ray Niño Gingoyon said it was a slingshot, and Jhimber Gotangogan asked ME if it was real?

MORE INFO ABOUT TWO HEADS
Polycephaly is the condition of having more than one head. The term is derived from the Greek stems poly- meaning "multiple" and kephalē- meaning "head". A polycephalic organism may be thought of as one being with a supernumerary body part, or as two or more beings with a shared body.
Two-headed animals (called bicephalic or dicephalic) and three-headed (tricephalic) animals are the only type of multi-headed creatures seen in the real world, and form by the same process as conjoined twins from monozygotic twin embryos.

There are many occurrences of multi-headed animals in mythology. In heraldry and vexillology, the double-headed eagle is a common symbol, though no such animal is known to have ever existed.
