When Kurdish-Iranian journalist and refugee Behrouz Boochani won Australia's richest literary pize this week, he wasn't allowed to attend the award ceremony. He's spent the past six years in limbo on Papua New Guinea's Manus Island, after seeking asylum in Australia. Boochani's book was painstakingly written by text message via WhatsApp - detailing the despair of his many years inside a remote detention center.
