Lyndsey Mask is the Educational Coordinator with Shaw Woods Outdoor Education Centre, a not-for profit organization based in Renfrew County. Lyndsey attended Nipissing University and graduated as a teacher in the spring of 2008. She fell in love with outdoor education when working as a Natural Heritage Education Interpreter at Balsam Lake Provincial Park in 2008. She went on to become an NHE Leader at Grundy Lake Provincial Park in 2009 and since then has dedicated herself to bringing the classroom and the natural environment together. Lyndsey began volunteering with the Renfrew County Stewardship Council and the Shaw Woods Outdoor Education Centre in the fall of 2011. She commits to connecting the students of Renfrew County to outdoor education by linking her programs to the Ontario curriculum expectations.
Lyndsey works with dedicated volunteers to help spread the message that children and nature go hand in hand.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
