The Amazon region of Brazil is filled with thousands of beautiful and exotic birds...
but when cities expand and people start moving into wild areas, many of these birds end up in trouble... especially baby birds...

The city of Belem, Brazil lies at the mouth of the Amazon river delta. It's a bustling city of over 2 million people. But it's also surrounded by huge rainforests and wild jungle areas...

And that's why Belem has a unique Police force called the BPA... part of their job is rescue wild animals that wander into the city or become victims of urban development.

Today, the BPA has been called to rescue some baby birds. It's in a neighborhood that used to be wild not too long ago, but now is building up quickly with new homes and businesses.

A small homeowner hands a box with three baby birds inside. He says he found them on the ground in his back yard. Nobody is sure what kinds of birds these baby chicks are but they look like Parrots.
