Hamza Biography:
"I was born and raised in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I am the youngest of five childeren. Currently I am in my Master year of Work and Organizational Psychology and I work part time with people with mental illnesses.
Singing feels almost as important as breathing to me. It's my way to inspire people by using the beautiful religion in my life. Music helps also helps me to escape the daily routine and brings peace and joy into my life. The same feelings I also try to pass on to the people around me.
In music I can also put all my feelings of that time. If I am sad or happy I try to express that in my songs"

The Judging Committee members are Bara Kherigi (Awakening Co-Founder), Hamza Namira (Awakening Star), Maher Zain (Awakening Star), and Wassim Malak (Awakening Co-Founder).
The contest has received more than 1,000 videos (755 were approved) from 66 countries (from all the continents) and from all age ranges.
The prize for the first winner is signing record deal with Awakening Records, while second place will perform live on stage with one of Awakening's artists.
